Peyron takes the lead
A critical night in the Vendee Globe
STOP PRESS: Alex Thomson retires from the Vendee Globe.

After yesterday afternoon's 'big gybe' so this morning the Vendee Globe has a new race leader. See the update from the skippers yesterday. Sam Davies and Artemis Ocean Racing's Jonny Malbon talk to us about the race. With leg two of the Volvo Ocean Race starting on Saturday so navigators Wouter Verbraak and Jules Salter look ahead at this complex new leg.
At the ISAF Annual Meeting there has been a vote favouring the 29erxx as the women's doublehander.
